Ashraya Trust operates under a formal legal charter registered with the Government of Karnataka. Below are the core aims and objectives guiding our daily community interventions.
To establish educational and medical relief centers in the villages where no negligible education and medical relief centers in the villages are available.
To start educational institutions including technical and industrial and to provide educational facilities to the society and economically down trodden and run these institutions without the intention of earning profit.
To engage in such activities, social moral, cultural, educational or any other that contribution to the development of human personalities by running Homes, Training centers etc., for the benefit of all the people without any distinction of caste, creed community, religion or sex etc.
To grant scholarship or any other kind of assistance in cash or kind to the deserving students towards their tuition fees, clothing, books, hostel fees and other incidental expenses etc. for the purpose of pursuing their higher studies.
To conduct adult and non formal literacy programmes and also run rural training centers in the villages to help the younger generation to learn the acts and crafts of Indian culture.
To establish and run hospitals, clinics, dispensaries, maternity homes, rescue home and provide other Medical reliefs to the poor and needy and run these institutions on non profit motive basis.
To establish and run homes for the orphans, widows, aged deserted and those who are mentally or physically handicapped persons in India and work for the promotion of their welfare.
To conduct awareness programmes in all fields which are beneficial to the public and also run rehabilitation centers for drug addicts, victims of AIDS etc.
To adopt villages or hamlets all over India and work for the socio economic upliftment of that area independently or in co-ordination with the aid of state or central or other service organization in India or abroad.
To provide institutional care for the physically and mentally handicapped who cannot be looked after at home due to various factors and provide a homely atmosphere.
To provide recreational facilities to keep their moral high.
To provide atleast basic education for the disabled who are trainable.
To start a Training Center to rehabilitate the members of the Trust by affording them vocational facilities such as spinning, weaving, tailoring, embroidery and other occupations which do not involve heavy manual labour.
To provide, organize, promote, maintain, manage and render charitable and benevolent service and all other axillary services for the poor, the sick, the destitute, the distressed the old, the orphaned, the homeless, the disabled and the victims of famine, earthquake, flood, fire pestilence and other natural calamities irrespective of nationality, community, caste, creed, color, religious and sex.
